Personality: Laguna is notorious for being a bit of a spaz, extremely forgetful, often overly passionate, considerably naive and quite the klutz. He has a tendency to run into dangerous situations without fully thinking them through, but even then it usually proves to be at least partially beneficial. His heart is always in the right place, and he's extremely loyal to those around him, even if they've done him wrong in the past (ex. Doctor Odine). So far he's proved himself to be a worthy leader and president of the city of Esthar, despite his seemingly immature tendencies and lack of common sense. He rarely, if ever, takes himself as priority over others. When he becomes extremely nervous, various extremities temporarily go numb, seemingly of their own accord (generally one, or both, of his legs, causing obvious, often humorous gimping about).

Laguna sees his current transformation (see below) as a second chance to fulfill his dream as a journalist, and will probably start writing about his adventures in VDL (possible news column?).

Other. Laguna's personality is that of post-game ff8 Laguna, however, the rest of him isn't. The Shumi, in their 'divine wisdom' and adoration of the guy created a device that would potentially extend Laguna's life, as a gift, to allow him "to rule justly and wisely for ages to come" (I wonder if they really know how much of a ditz he is). Laguna, not entirely sure what this meant, gladly accepted the gift and was sent to sleep by the device. When he woke up the procedure had succeeded, shifting his body to that of his 27-year-old self (the form the Shumi most remembered), but for some reason he wasn't in the Shumi village anymore...

Sexual Orientation. Bi-sexual

Why That Sexuality Was Chosen. Laguna finds it hard to believe that gender can prevent you from loving someone if it's honest and true. While he doesn't have any experience with men in that sense, he isn't adverse to the idea that some day he could learn to love someone of the same gender. Still, as for right now Raine is the only person in his heart in that sense.
